We are happy about your interest to be a volunteer for one year and that you like our project and our hosting opportunities! Turbina Pomerania is a coordinating organisation for many different hosting placements in Greifswald (North-East Germany) and the surrounding region. We help with the paperwork, but most of all we organize the international seminars in which you will take part when choosing us and one of our volunteering opportunities. It is important to know that attending our seminars is mandatory during your volunteering time.

Before you fill the application form, you should:

• check our page with all volunteering opportunities to inform yourself about the details of each position and decide to which one you want to apply
• register with the European Solidarity Corps through the EU Youth Portal. You will need your participant reference number (PRN) in the application form.
• read through our seminar page

Please note: We can no longer accept any applications by participants who need a visa to come to Germany. Waiting times at German embassies are too long to ensure that we can organize your arrival on time. If you need a visa to become a volunteer and are interested in one specific organisation please write us an email. We can then discuss opportunities to start volunteering in September 2026 (yes, 2026). 

If you have already applied, you will hear from your chosen organisation within the next weeks. If you do not hear back until the end of March, please write to us.

If you do not need a visa to come to Germany, you can apply through our application form. Currently, we have open opportunities at:

Please note: You can apply to one organisation. If you want to apply for more than one position, the application form has to be filled a second time. It is important that you then answer the questions specifically regarding the different hosting organisation. If you send the same answers for several places, none of your applications will be considered. It is really important to take some time and think about why exactly you choose the place you are applying to and what you find specifically interesting. We highly recommend applying to one position only.

One last little something on AI & Honesty: Please avoid using artificial intelligence to write your application. We read a lot of applications and know when they are AI-based. We truly want to know who you are in your own words. We are not perfect, so you don't have to be perfect either! We don't want to read what you think we want to hear, but what you truly have to say. Honesty means imperfection and this will be valued. We try to create an application process that is transparent and inclusive. This is why, for example, we don't ask for a mandatory CV and ask you not to send any pictures. If you have trouble to express yourself in English, you may write your answers in your mother tongue. Transparency: We will use a translation software to read applications in different languages.
