The Net is Working – Volunteering and Human Rights Education Conference

20.-22.04.2020 | Greifswald, Germany

ATTENTION: In order to minimise the spreading of COVID-19 and due to the current limitations for gatherings and events we decided to cancel the partner workshop and the conference “The Net is Working – Volunteering and Human Rights Education Conference” in April 2020.
The German National Agency has confirmed that the program covers all expenses already incurred. If you already had expenses such as ticket bookings and visa costs, please let us know and send us the valid invoices then we can reimburse the costs.
We really were looking forward to exchanging and developing ideas together with you. Accordingly, we are now searching for new ideas how we can reach these goals even if we can not meet in person. We will inform you about our plans in the next weeks.Depending on the situation we might hold a small scale international partners’ workshop from 3. August to 5. August this year. We will inform you about our decisions as soon as possible. However, at the moment we do not have enough information to make any decision. We hope you understand.

We will contact all volunteers we are hosting here in Greifswald about the situation and their options in the current situation. We will inform you as soon as possible about the volunteers’ decisions. Volunteers could stay here in Greifswald, in Germany, but of course most projects are not working as usual. In this case individual support, food allowance etc. will be paid. They also might end their volunteering projects and go home. In every case we will inform you about the individual decision.

We wish you all the best and hope that the virus and all related restrictions and consequences will not affect you too badly.

All the best wishes from Greifswald

The common language of the 5 days will be English, but we also want to provide bilingual workshops to illustrate the variety of spoken languages and to make wider participation possible.
