Solawi Stralsund

Hello, we are Katy and Ingo and we run a farm with approx. 1 hectare of land according to the idea of “Community Supported Agriculture” (CSA) in the market garden system. We are currently in our fourth year of cultivation and want to supply 65 households with fruit and vegetables. We, Katy and Ingo, grow many different seasonal vegetables and fruit varieties and live with our three children (aged 8, 6 and 4) and our animals (dogs, cats, chickens) on our small farm with 1.25 hectares of arable land. It is located in the village of Duvendiek not far from the island of Rügen and the Baltic Sea beach (approx. 30 minutes to the Baltic Sea and 10 minutes to the Bodden). Anyone who loves peace and quiet, likes gardening and can also get stuck in is cordially invited to drop by.

How does a Solawi actually work?

The concept is quite simple: a farm or market garden supplies a group of people in the local area with food. In return, the group provides the necessary resources for food production. Everyone involved shares the harvest and the responsibility. A farm regularly supplies a fixed group of consumers with food.

Consumers sign a contract for a marketing year and pay a monthly contribution. Consumers can take part in work assignments or crop planning, for example.

Although it is quite in our village, there are often lots of interesting people around the farm for hands-on days and harvest pick-ups.

We look forward to receiving your application

Katy and Ingo

Saludos

Katy & Ingo
