Weltblick e.V.

Sale of fair products and educational work on fair trade in Greifswald

The team at the "Weltladen Greifswald" (translatable to: fair trade shop Greifswald) works to raise awareness of unjust world market structures through the sale of fair trade goods and, at the same time, to create an alternative to conventional trade practices. With the help of accompanying educational and project work, the Weltladen promotes solidarity with people living in disadvantaged or livelihood-threatening conditions around the world.

The Weltladen Greifswald is the main project of Weltblick e.V., the legal structure responsible. Accordingly, the volunteer work should start in this area in order to gain solid background knowledge about products, importers and other actors of Fair Trade in comparison to conventional trade structures. The volunteer's participation in the regular meetings of the association members and the association's internal trainings is desired.

Based on this basic knowledge, the volunteer should participate in the public relations work of the association, in order to promote the idea of fair trade in the regional environment, e.g. the university, schools, etc. and, if necessary, to support cooperation with various institutions and to co-organize appropriate events.

It is also possible to deal with individual fields of Fair Trade and its effects in order to write articles for the website.

Your tasks as a volunteer can be very diverse, you can set your own priorities and initiate your own projects. Important is a personal interest in Fair Trade and fun in helping to create actions and events.
